Eframe, Frame makes on the Internet

You will probably all have noticed the banner ad for eFrame on the WCPB pages.

I needed a couple of frames for my recent "letterbox-format" pictures and hadn't found anything suitable in any of my normal framing "haunts", so I decided to give them a try.

I found their online design function very easy to use and the ability to upload an image of the work to see it "mounted and framed" excellent in helping to decide the important details.

The lead-time of 5-7 working days seemed a little long, but the time flew by and the frames turned up as forecast. They were very cleanly and accurately made, as one would naturally expect from a professional framer, and suitably protected from damage that can occur in the post. The cost wasn't charged to my account until 4 working days after the order, so that was as promised/expected.

However, when I came to use them, I found that the suspension cord was not long enough to tie it the way I thought it was supposed to be done. I took a photograph, showing how I was trying to tie it and e-mailed it to eFrame, asking if I was doing it the wrong way or whether the were being a bit mean with the cord length. I received a reply the next day confirming that I was using the correct method and saying that a replacement was being sent. That arrived less than 24 hours later and they have been very generous this time.

I'm a little sceptical about their claim to be "half the price of the high street", though of course that depends on where your high street is, but I think that their prices are keen enough. Being able to cut my own mounts, I didn't use that part of their service, so I can't comment on that.

To sum up:
Will I use them again? Yes
Would I recommend them to a friend? Yes
