Title: Morston Quay
Description: Photos4Artists

JMG - June 27, 2010 04:02 PM (GMT)
Hello all,

Just finished this one of Morston Quay. It's from a shot on the Photos4Artists site so thanks to them for reference, (again).

Bits have worked ok & others not so, but it was still good to get some paint on paper again. It's on Arches 16 x 12 140lb NOT paper & uses all the regular colours I seem to go for.

Anyway, feel free to comment or suggest as it's all good stuff.

Hmm, looks like I've shot it at a slight angle

I very much like the understated quality of this great little watercolour, I should imagine it was quite difficult to achieve thssupp

Hello John,
slioghtly stronger sky? Water very well painted and the rest too...but doesn't the hedgerow?treeline grow all the way across (behind the buildings)?
Photos for artists is too big a website to look it up for myself.!!!!!

Good. Perhaps the sky could be darker, I'm not sure. Only looked because of uncertain, she may be right.

Thanks for the feedback ladies, much appreciated. The sky is a little darker on the actual painting itself but point noted. I still don't think much of it as a whole so may have another go at it later.
