this was done from a Leisure Art srep by step book, I tried sketching this dog with pencil and someone at art club noticed I was struggling and suggested painting it straight off which I did I know its not perfect but I'm pretty pleased with first animal in watercolour

It's a little blurry to really make out any detail, but for your first animal it looks pretty good.

Good on yer Dorothy for having a go directly with the brush. It's a lovely tool to use - a Watercolour sable makes lovely expressive marks that will add interest to any drawing or painting once you have the confidence to use one.

Very good, Dorothy. You got the shape beautifully, and this is very recognisable as a spaniel.
